Telehealth Notice

Last updated: 2026. This notice explains how telehealth works at Legacy Wellness, the risks and benefits, and how your health information is handled.

1. What "telehealth" means here

Telehealth is the delivery of clinical services using electronic communications — secure messaging, video, asynchronous health-history forms, and electronic prescriptions — instead of an in-person visit. We provide asynchronous telehealth: you submit a health history at your convenience, our licensed provider reviews it, and they reach out (or prescribe) based on what they find.

2. Risks and benefits

Benefits: convenience, no travel, faster access to providers and pharmacy fulfillment, ability to reach a licensed clinician from anywhere in the US.

Risks and limits:

  • Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
  • Without a physical exam, some conditions cannot be evaluated as thoroughly as in person.
  • Technology can fail. Messages can be delayed.
  • Despite reasonable safeguards, no electronic transmission is 100% secure.
  • Some therapies are not appropriate for all patients; a licensed provider may decline to prescribe.

3. Identity verification

You must be at least 18 years old and a US resident. Our platform may verify your identity, age, and address before completing a consult or shipping any medication.

4. Health information and HIPAA

Health information you share — including your health history, prescriptions, and provider correspondence — is collected and stored in our medical-records system, governed by HIPAA where applicable. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, vendor due diligence with appropriate Business Associate Agreements) to protect that information.

5. Use and disclosure of health information

We use your health information for treatment, payment, and routine healthcare operations as permitted by HIPAA. We may share health information with our partner pharmacies (for fulfillment), with our licensed providers (for treatment), and with shipping carriers (for delivery). We will not sell your health information.

6. Your rights

Under HIPAA you generally have the right to: inspect and obtain a copy of your health record; request corrections; receive an accounting of disclosures; request restrictions on use or disclosure; request confidential communications; and file a complaint without retaliation. Email support@legacyhealth.fit to exercise these rights.

7. Cash-pay program

The therapies described on this Site are not billed to insurance. You pay for medication directly at the time of prescription. Coaching packages, if elected, are billed on a 29-day cycle.

8. Compounded medications

Many therapies described on this Site — including compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, and various peptides — are not FDA-approved drug products. They are compounded by a US-licensed 503A pharmacy and prescribed at the discretion of a licensed provider for individual patients. Statements on this Site have not been evaluated by the FDA. Products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

9. Right to discontinue

You may discontinue telehealth services at any time. Discontinuation does not affect your right to seek care from another provider in person or remotely.

10. By submitting a consult request

By submitting a consult request through this Site, you acknowledge that you have read this notice and consent to be contacted to schedule your consult. Final clinical decisions are made by a licensed provider during your consult.
